Shits stealing way too much attention than they deserve has always been a major issue in the Flash gaming community; somehow though, I am afraid this is how things are destined to be, with so many players showing unreservedly how retarded they are as well. The whole impression with "Treasure of Cutlass Reef" just reminded me of "that brainless zombie shooter" - assfuckingly awful levels that keep growing longer and longer with not even the tiniest bit of new shits and lots of brainwashed fucktards praising it as "the best shits I've ever had with my dick".

Speaking about protecting .sol files with hashes, we've got an instance here right today, thanks to Mr. Greg. Well actually, this game uses checksum instead of hash, but the ideas are quite similar.
Scurvy Scallowag Badge (hard – 30 points)
Complete all 12 levels on the "admiral" difficulty setting.
So what does that mean? That means your modified .sol files will be blocked out by the built-in check of the game codes if you don't know how to produce the correct checksum for your modified values. I am not going to bother teaching you how, it's basically all about coding which I do not expect you to know or wanna learn anyway, hence you are recommended to use Cheat Engine as usual if you are having problems with this game:

ive used cheat engine a million times and i still can not get it to work. i get the values but i can not change them for some reason.
ReplyDeleteok. heres how i did it. In the first lv i look at my enemies gold. say 2200. *8 found results. shot the ship. did 2456 *8 and hit next scan and changed it to 8000000. to give me a million gold. then just bought all upgrades. hope this helps

ReplyDeleteim actually intrested in learning as much as pos. about chaging the checksums and hashes but for example i can beat this game but if i was to modify something what would i need to do to produce the chksum like you said before this is not hacking its coding now im not a dumbass and would like to know anything your willing to teach. gotta learn somewhere !!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou need to decompile the .swf and read into its source code to see the formulas of the checksum, putting in your modifying values to produce a new, fitting checksum, a process which requires certain degree of coding knowledge AND a great bunch of time that is not in a reasonable proportion to the activity of playing/hacking a Flash game. I won't consider to do it unless all possible methods have been confirmed to be futile, which apparently is not true for this case.

I noticed that the game is different in the way it is cheated. Im feeling lazy right now, so I dont want to figure it out. I searched value of different characteristics. tried it X8. found what addresses wite to. Still couldnt get it without doing the damn error and exit of the window. I might keep at it later. Wish they all made the games more simple to cheat..lol. Im tired, maybe thats why i am having a hard time.

ReplyDeleteIf memory serves me correct you can't hack the gold with Cheat Engine for this one, but look at the picture above and you should know which parts can be done by Cheat Engine. That alone will be enough for you to blow the way through.
